Jewelry Care

General Cleaning:

Wash and soak jewelry with warm water and gentle soap (think baby skin delicate) with a soft bristled brush (ex. fluffy toothbrush, makeup brush etc.) Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth or towel to prevent tarnishing.

Other options include:

  • A polishing cloth that has a compound bound to the fibers (do not use on gold plated materials)
  • Jewelry cleaner, available at many stores but make sure that your items are alright to go in it via information on the container.

General Care:

To preserve your jewelry's original look, do not get it wet (if you do dry thoroughly) do not swim, shower or sleep in it. Do not use lotion, hand sanitizer or makeup around the jewelry. Remove rings and bracelets before washing hands or doing dishes and remove before cleaning with any chemicals or bleach. All of these things will weaken the metal, scratch it and lead to breakage. We are not responsible for free repairs on jewelry that has been broken with these or other types of force (i.e.. hitting the jewelry against a table, dropping it, it snagging on clothing etc.)

Silk Cord:

In general please be gentle with all jewelry strung on silk or nylon cord, it is strong yes, but pulling on it, getting it wet or other harsh activities will weaken the cord over time, which can lead to breakage. In the event that you break a necklace or bracelet where the beads are strung on silk cord, don't panic. Gather as many beads that have fallen off as possible and store in a plastic bag. Sadly if this happens the whole necklace will have to be remade and you will pay a repair fee. Use the contact form to get in contact about the specifics of sending the item back for repair and the processing of the repair fee.

Bead Care:

With some items like the Ouroboros Ring, Dotted Pearl Necklace or Bar necklace, getting it wet or sweaty can cause black residue around the beads! This residue is your bodies natural oils along with the dirt/dust that comes with natural stones. To clean use running water and a soft brush to remove the dirt and dry THOROUGHLY!
